I’ve been coming to the Cape for over 35 years. Every year we do the same thing. By choice! We love our traditions. We swim at our beach, bike to the Country Store, kayak across Hinkley Pond, get ice cream at Emack and Bolio’s, have lunch at the Captain’s Table, read in the hammock, and play games. But this year, I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I’m blogging. Although the Cape is where we come to disconnect from our daily routines, I just didn’t want to give this part of my day up. I enjoy it too much!
Getting online took some effort though.
After a series of fruitless calls to the Verizon store, we called the Chamber of Commerce. This sweet elderly woman informed us that we could get 24/7 free wireless at the public library. So, here I sit, in an adirondack chair watching the cars drive by in downtown Harwich. I can’t stay long though, because my hubby and little loves are across the street at the playground. While I didn’t want to miss my online community, I also don’t want to miss out playing with my family. Hmmm. That sounds a lot like balance. Go figure.
