Yesterday (Sunday!) my oldest daughter had a soccer tournament. So we got up at 6:00 a.m., and left at 6:45 a.m. without eating breakfast, so we could drive 45 minutes to the soccer fields and unpack our chairs, cooler, soccer gear, diaper bag and stroller in time for a four-game tournament in 90+ degree weather. This past weekend my daughters and I ran our first 5K in the 30th anniversary of the Freihofer’s Run for Women. More than 3,000 women showed up to demonstrate the force of girl power! Here are the three of us crossing the finish line.
Yes, both my girls beat me! I was so proud of them!!!
My seven-year-old daughter is the only girl on her travel soccer team. She frequently shows those boys what girl power is all about when she dribbles circles around them!
