Say Goodbye to Super Pooper . . . Hello Turbo Tot! Yes, the day has come to change my baby’s blog name. Although she’s only eight months old now, and technically not a toddler, no one has told her that.

* So at 6 months she pulled herself up to a standing position.
* At 6 1/2 months she started cruising around the furniture.
* At 7 months she started walking with a walker toy.
* At 7 1/2 months she stood without holding onto anything for the first time and climbed up the stairs. Needless to say we have a gate up now!
* Now she’s clapping and waving, almost on cue!
My pediatrician isn’t as impressed as we are. While I think my baby’s a marvel…a phenom…ok at least exceptional, her doctor chalks it up to her being the third child. I just don’t get that logic. Both Sweet Angel and Feisty Girl saw me walking ALL THE TIME and each of them didn’t start cruising until 10 months and took their first steps at 12 months.
I have to admit I’m not surprised that Super Pooper Turbo Tot is exceptionally agile. She moved constantly when I was pregnant with her. It felt at six months like she was trying to kick her way out. Let’s just say that third trimester wasn’t pretty.
For those of you new to the party, or if you just want to see Super Pooper in all her glory one last time, click here. But from now on, it’s Hello Turbo Tot!

Oh she’s adorable! Becca didn’t start walking until right about a year old either, so I think your Turbo Tot is just exceptional even as the 3rd child!
She’s so cute! And I think Turbo Tot is the perfect name. After all, she’ll be a toddler before you know it (and into a lot of mischief)!
I love the picture; and I remember that Fischer Price walker toy! It’s a classic.

No pressure, but if you want to play along, feel free.
Wow! She’s much more of a toddler than my one-year-old son, who is yet to tackle the art of walking. What a darling photo!
(And I say Turbo Tot IS a marvel! In my house, my first two were extremely early walkers, my third took his first steps the night before his first birthday, and my fourth is not even interested in standing on his own yet and he’s 13 months old. Sooo…. your ped’s logic is very interesting…)
Hi Honey
I love the new name “Turbo Tot”,
although based on my recent visit
Super Pooper would still qualify.
Love DAD
I will remember your little Super Pooper, fondly - still thinking about the first time I ever read your post, with pictures and it’s sort of hard to forget, really - hello Turbo Tot!
I’m impressed! My two older kids walked at 8 and 9 months and I have to be honest, I’d be perfectly pleased if my 4 month old waited til she was 15 months. Walking changes everything.
It’s fun and amazing and a wildly proud moment when it happens, but it really forces you to change nearly everything about your life.
Isn’t parenthood a mountain of inconsistencies!?
We certainly can agree on some of those Thursday Thirteens!!!!!
I can hardly wait to see Turbo Tot and her sisters! It amazes me that she looks exactly like Super Pooper. Hmmmmmmmmm………..
Get those girls ready to rock!
Love,
Mom
Oh the new name SO suits her - especially given your story this morning. You are so in trouble with this one!!
