The urge to create can run in families! My nephew made me this adorable penguin key chain (he knows how much I love penguins!). He has started mentioning that he wants to sell his crafts… but I’m holding off on pursuing that until I see if this is a passing fad or something that he is truly interested in.
For those of you with children in your life: Are your kids crafty? Do they help you make your crafts? Do they sell the items they make?
And feel free to link to pictures of what your children make!

My kids are all crafty and spend hours at a time coming up with stuff that blows my mind! We have never sold any of their stuff but you never know. I keep an album in flickr acct just to chronicle some of their creations. http://www.flickr.com/photos/upstatelisa/sets/72157606208625941/
Boy do I have a crafty kid! Not only does Jayn help me in my business with her impeccably taste (she chooses all the yarn combos for my art dolls’ hair) she has her own jewelry etsy store – http://www.smilefactory.etsy.com . All her life she has made art daily as a commentary on her life and emotions. Her plans for her future revolve around living an artistic, creative life and running her own business. Currently I am writing a screenplay based on one of her stories, and she is writing several books, including a fantasy coloring book. She’ll be 10 in October.
My son loves to make things. He doesn’t do it as often now that he’s a teenager, but here are some greeting cards he designed and made … complete with instructions that I posted on my Crafting blog a while ago:
