Fabulous article on pricing... especially for those starting out!

I used the same principle - starting a little lower to get my name out there (contrary to how my husband thought I should do it) and over time made slight price adjustments.

This has worked very well for me as I was able to get my lovable teddy bears out into the arms of my collectors... which got them wanting more fuzzy hugs!

LOVE your blog!

I had a break from making bags for about a year as I felt I was only getting my money back for the materials and not labor. I changed the style of the bag, making it one color and found that my sales dropped.

After reading this on you other blog, I got the drive back to get back out there and begin making bags again that are a bit more complicated and make me feel satisfied (under a new name and blog).

I am not after reaping back the labor costs for now. Just materials. I would be happy if what I do just pays for the cost of buying materials.

Thanks for writing the entry and I can't wait to read more on your new blog
