I'm so pleased to have found this article! It's exactly the advice I needed to hear; I'm trying to find my way back into making and selling things after an enforced break. Thank you!

Hi there. Any advice and starting out by consigning to new boutiques. Where can I go to find sample contracts, etc.?

This blog is just what I need. Expect me to be back as you fill this Internet space with lots of wise advice (and subtle reminders to snack). Thanks for this! And congratulations! :D

Lisa, this post makes me soooooooooo happy you're writing around here (as if I needed more incentive to be happy about that!!).

I really had my heart set on a craft business blog for many reasons - but one of the more personal and driving reasons was because my own first business was a craft business.

I never really anticipated that there was so much more to selling crafts than making beautiful things. And I remember it was SO HARD to hear things like, "Well, I could make that myself for way less than you want to charge me!"

I can't wait to read more! Between you and Megan, you guys make your businesses sound so tempting that it makes me want to start another side business (that I need like a hole in my head)! But I will have to say that I don't think I could ever go back to freelancing - although Lorna and Tamara are doing an excellent job, I burnt myself out way too much when I had that business a few years ago. ;)
