I’m so glad i found your blog. As i really want to learn how-to properly sell on eBay.

Here is a quick question for you. Can one add a stat counter to a product page, as in the item page of what im selling?

Or only on an eBay store?

You say that the same product sold at the bid/buy it now option rather than the buy it now style auction alone.

I’d say this has to do with the way eBay buyers view listings – buy it now seems more of a static and less popular or marketable item… also, in the past, ebay displayed search results differently – auctions with bid options got listed first – and most buyers go to ebay looking for an auction site – not an online store so to speak.. I guess this is what you mean by psychology.

I don’t sell on Ebay but I have just joined the Ebay affiliate program and have started to place links on my Tots website directly to items on Ebay that are appropriate to my site. It can provide an emom a little additional income.

I got a question:

You said you could make $1000’s per month on ebay, could you give us some tips on where to get good items to sell?

I have sold a few hundred items on ebay, but all of mine were low end so the profit was like around $1 per item. This was time consuming and unfulfilling so i eventually quit.

Hello,

I loved your article, thank you. I have just started eBaying again, and it is really fun, just selling things around the house and trying to learn and see if I could actually make some money. I feel like I am in Ebay school, and I am trying all these different features, such as featured plus (didn’t work out for me-if you use it make sure you choose your categories carefully), listing in ebay, listing in auctiva (faster and free), using bold, highlight, enlarge. Well, I have no strong conclusions, and I am not selling any products, its more like a garage sale. All my items just sold or expired and now I am just shipping things and getting the next batch ready. Anyway, I just wanted to relate some experiences and I have to say that your observations ring true with me and I will be excited ot hear more on this topic.

eBay has always fascinated me but have yet to start selling any items… though I certainly do have enought to get me started.

Thank you for the insight into Auctiva & Turbo Lister as well as your view on the 0.99 cent auctions.

I just sold my first three things. The last time I sold on ebay was about 7 years ago. Ebay has changed a lot! It is so much easier now. All three buyers used paypal, paypal printed my labels and took the money from my paypal account. I am still in the selling around the house stage But I am still excited!
