Allena - Thanks for the kind words. The fact that people relate to what we're experiencing really makes us both feel pretty good!

(Gee, this got really long.)

To answer your question: At this point, we don't link to the blog from our website. (Actually, our website is still in its pre-polished state, so we haven't seriously even promoted it yet.) Obviously, if someone Googled either one of us, the FP blog would come up, so it's not like we're hiding it. On the other hand, we're not exactly directing current clients to the innermost workings or our combined little brains, you know?

Tamara and I had to decide how far we wanted to go with this blog and how we would be perceived as a result of it. Our decision was to be quite transparent, and then to work with the clients who weren't turned off by that. If a prospective client reads this and doesn't want to work with us as a result, well, we don't want to work with them, either. In a way, this blog has a lot to do with how we see our "brand." We're open, honest, and hard-working; and if you read here, hopefully that will be evident. If, on the other hand, you think we're not worthy because we've admitted to occasional insecurities, you can go ahead and find someone else to do your work for you.

It was a well-discussed and considered decision on our parts. I'm happy to say that we've already gotten at least one client simply because she read our blog and wanted to work with us.

Hmm, I don't have Michaels blog bookmarked, so I'll just tell you here why I like to read you-- Really it's just a matter of being able to relate. your posts are about the same things that I deal with every.single.day.

I have a question for ya, if you ever read this comment, do you link to this blog from the website that your clients see? I'm not sure you do.

I'd like to write about a lot of the same day to day things of running a writing business at my gardenwallwriting.blogspot.com but I have to b careful of my clients. I guess it's a matter of what your blog is FOR. I guess mine is more for self promotion, since I allow my cleints to click on it.
