Nice article. I’d especially emphasize the point you made about really knowing the subject you are writing about, not only because you might be burned out but also because the whole point is giving people valuable content.

I’ve been pro-blogging and freelance writing for 7 month and went full time at the end of last month. I totally agree with you Deb on your statement of liking what we write about.

When I started I got a month by month paid blogging gig that has since evolved into a second one plus editing and a pay rise.

I truly believe that passion for the subject is a huge driving force that keeps you going on dark days (yes, we all have them)

This was a very helpful article. I am wanting to get into freelance writing, but I haven't actually applied for any jobs yet.
