Joanna - Ha! You hate the word "commentor." I hate "commentator." I've been thinking about your post and am still formulating my own ideas about the topic, trying to weigh out the various pieces to decide what I feel is most appropriate for our blogs.

Lorna, thanks for highlighting my piece - written from the perspective of blog reader and comment-leaver (I do hate the word "commenter"!)

It's generated some interesting conversation - including your own thoughtful comments and questions - so if anyone is thinking about how best to handle comments on their own site do feel free to pop along, see what others are saying and jump in with your comments.

Thanks for the other links here too - I'm always glad to gobble up new material from a trusted source

Allena - My guess is that a lot of it comes down to taxes and liability. If I remember correctly, having an LLC allows you to keep your personal assests separate from your business assets. Therefore, if the business didn't succeed, you would not necessarily be expected to use your home, etc. to pay for it.

One of your links says to take your biz to an llc level. I am just not finding any benefits to it in all of my googling. Any ideas?

Char - Thanks again. I seriously talked to my husband about that contest all weekend in hopes that I would win!

Michele - I can't believe it took me weeks to catch the pun. And I call myself a writer. *shame* I'm so glad you like the blog. Yours is in my Google Reader!

Oh... yes, writing = riding... I'm glad you got that :-)

Have a great weekend!
