Alrighty, it’s Day 7 and I’m done! How’s your home office? If you participated this week or are starting today, leave a comment.
Here’s how I did this week:
- Package that is WAY overdue to ship. Almost done. It’s ready to go to the post office.
- “Action” folder that’s out of control. Almost done. Sorting going on, cut out a LOT of stuff. Now for the data entry.
- Sort thru conference materials and paper. Done.
- Business cards to enter into contact management. Done.
- Stuff that doesn’t belong in my office. Done.
- Those little desktop stragglers. Done.
Want to have your own 7 Day Challenge? It’s not too late! Post your link below and let us know how it goes. You can do it!
Since I promised one of the participants pics, here they are.

Well, I’m a few days late, but better late than never, right?
I hope it’s ok to post pics in the comments (not sure if that will work or not). Here’s the main before/after view, but you can see the whole set on Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/idesignstudios/sets/72157607799779737/

AFTER:
I had let it go way too far, including having my toddler’s toys strewn all over the floor, as well as some of my own stuff that should never had made it into the office in the first place.
I admit I’m still working on filing the paper stuff – but at least they are in stacks by type, such as bills, medical, business, etc. (Stacks of papers are on the kitchen counter, btw – wanted it OUT of the office, LOL.
I rearranged a few of the smaller pieces of furniture, brought back in my fitness ball, and moved the printer inside the desk just to get it out of the way.
I’m SO glad to have done this – I feel productive just sitting and looking around, LOL. The challenge is now to KEEP it this way!
Thanks for the kick in the pants – it was much needed!
