Productivity Tools – Lookee What I Found!

I’ve been perusing the internet and schmoozing with other organizers recently. Learning from all of them, seeing new products and meeting Peter Walsh (of Oprah & Clean Sweep fame, more on that later) so I just had to share. Here’s a few things I’ve run across lately which can help with productivity, or solve a problem tracking web information. Enjoy!

Hate filing? Yah, me too. Seriously, why does our “paperless society” have so much friggin paper? Well, that’s a whole other subject, and the reality is we have to deal with it. So, imagine how excited I was when I came across this straightforward product that helps solve the “I-Hate-Filing” Syndrome. (Yes, there may have been a happy dance in the office aisle of Target, but I digress. ) You know why some of us hate filing so much? Because we overcomplicate it. Buttoned Up File.starter makes it easy and straight forward (not to mention kinda fun!). Feel free to complicate it, but I’m going to hold back that urge.

So, have you ever moved your email to another service and had to painstakingly enter all the addresses and pray you could get all the emails transferred over. Yep, me too. So, when I heard about TrueSwitch I was pretty jazzed about it. Copy all your information, then tell everyone you are moving to a new address, forward your email and ditch the old one. Ahhh yeah!

I’ll admit, my GoogleReader can get out of control (you know who you are out there). Like when I cleaned out 793 posts on Friday and then today it’s back to 400… oy ve. Well, it is what it is, and I get thru it with my handy dandy “J” & “K” shortcuts. But, wouldn’t it be nice to read the top posts around the webosphere (did I just make that up…)? Check out AideRSS. No it’s not a telethon, but a sweet tool to filter, track and generally boil down the stuff that matters. Web 2.0, here we come!
