Stuff just isn’t getting done. You know the feeling, so do I, and it sucks. No really. It happens at some point or another, and it’s time for a reality check.
When stuff isn’t getting done, it’s time to thing hard about why.
Have you ever looked around in your office, or taken a mental inventory of what you have (or haven’t) been doing? What was the result? I did this recently, and came to a couple realizations.
1. A few important things weren’t getting done, and it’s no one’s fault but my own. No excuses. Period. There were important things slipping through the cracks, I didn’t do them and that’s not good. Other things I needed to stop doing, so I could get on with the important stuff. The only person who could turn this around is yours truly.
2. Time to stop putting it off. For whatever reason I had put these things in the back of my mind. Maybe I needed a mental break, who knows, but now it’s time to get the stuff done.
Have you had this happen? What did you do about it? For me, it was time to look in the mirror, put my big girl pants on and turn it around. No excuses, just action. It’s not too late, just pick up and move forward.
