Summer vacation is rapidly approaching and I need kid activities! I suspect you do too or you wouldn’t be reading this blog.
Well, you’ve come to the right place! I’ll be sharing all sorts of kids crafts, backyard games and fun outings you can do with your kids this summer - not only so you can have some sort of work-life balance, but so you won’t have to listen to “I’m bored” all summer long!
The first outing I’m going to share is great if you’re looking for a kid activity where:
- You don’t have to spend a lot of money
- Your kids are sitting quietly
- You’re in air conditioning
Interested? Thought so.
AMC Theaters is showing $1 kid movies this summer! How cool is that!
So cool, you might want to bring a sweater. Those movie theaters can get chilly!
Anyway, every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from June 25 through August 6, AMC theaters is running a Summer Movie Camp where all the $1 admissions are donated to charity. So you get a cheap movie, air conditioning and a chance to do good. It doesn’t get any better than that! Well, free popcorn would be better, but let’s not get greedy.
Here are the kid movies they are showing for $1:
June 25 - Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium
July 2 - The Water Horse
July 9 - Alvin and the Chipmunks
July 6 - Shrek the Third
July 23 - The Bee Movie
July 30 - Surf’s Up
August 6 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Don’t worry if your kids have already seen these movies. Not only do kids love seeing movies over and over, it’s only $1 for 2 hours of air conditioned silence. Need I say more!
