Christmas Crafts: Handprint Angel

It’s no secret that I absolutely love crafts that involve my children’s handprints. That’s why I’ve shared several handprint crafts like handprint reindeer, handprint turkeys and handprint spiders. So it’s no surprise that I’m going to share another handprint craft . . . the handprint angel!
What You Need to Make the Handprint Angel:
- Red, white and skin colored construction paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Markers
- Glue
- Chenille stem (a.k.a. pipe cleaner)
How to Make the Handprint Angel:
1. Trace your child’s hands onto white construction paper.
2. Cut out the traced hands.
3. Cut a large triangle from the red construction paper.
4. Glue the cut handprints to the back of the triangle to create the angel’s wings.
5. Cut a small circle from the skin colored construction paper for the angel’s head.
6. Glue the angel’s head to the top of the triangle.
7. Use markers to create the angel’s eyes or glue on googly eyes.
8. Use markers to create the angel’s mouth.
9. Cut a two inch piece of chenille stem and create a halo by wrapping it around your finger.
10. Glue the angel’s halo to the back of the angel’s head.

Oh wow, these are too cute! We’ve done the handprint turkeys several years in a row (except this year
) but I’d never seen the angels! Thanks for sharing!

So, if you are like me, and you can’t draw a circle or triangle freehand to save your life, would there be like a template or something somewhere that I could print out? Seriously, I’m craft-hopeless.
Hand Wings. Cute idea!
