I love making wreaths with my kids whatever the holiday may be. Wreaths aren’t just for Christmas anymore! So of course I had to make a wreath for St. Patrick’s Day. Since Irish leprechauns are harder to trace, but easy to color, I decided we’d make an Irish shamrock wreath.
Here’s What You Need to Make an Irish Shamrock Wreath:
- Card Stock
- Green Construction Paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
Here’s How to Make an Irish Shamrock Wreath:
1. Create a shamrock template on a piece of card stock by tracing a shamrock and cutting it out. You can trace this Irish shamrock to get the size of shamrock we used.
2. Fold two pieces of green construction paper into thirds.
(This is so you can cut out three shamrocks at a time.)
3. Trace two Irish shamrocks onto each piece of folded construction paper.
4. Cut out each traced shamrock creating a total of twelve Irish shamrocks.
5. Arrange the Irish shamrocks in the shape of a wreath.
6. Glue the Irish shamrocks together at the edges so they create the shape of a wreath.
This Irish shamrock wreath is a fun activity and a festive St. Patrick’s Day decoration! For more fun with Irish shamrocks, check out these St. Patrick’s Day arts and crafts.

Excellent idea. I can’t wait until next St Paddy’s day. It always makes me smile since it’s the start of another summer
