There’s so many great things about Valentine’s Day! There’s yummy treats, fun valentine crafts and decorations, and of course valentines. I’ve been having fun making a lot of different types of valentines with my kids. (A side benefit of having a mom who writes a Seasonal Kids’ Activities blog.) First we made painted heart valentines. Then we made these cute heart fish valentines.

Here’s What You Need To Make Heart Fish Valentines:

  • Red, purple and pink construction paper (or any colors you like!)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Glitter glue (optional)

Here’s How To Make Heart Fish Valentines:

1. Cut out two medium-size hearts and one small heart for each fish valentine.

2. Glue the two medium-size hearts together so the points of each heart are facing outwards to create the body of the fish.

3. Glue on the small heart so it overlaps the point of one of the medium-size hearts to create the tail of the fish.

4. On one side of the heart fish, write a valentine message. Be creative! There are a lot of cute fish puns. For example:

Glad You Are in My “School”

You’re Oceans of Fun

Best Fishes This Valentine’s Day

5. One the other side of the heart fish, either use markers or crayons to add an eye and mouth, or glue on a googly eye and use glitter glue for the mouth.

These Valentine crafts are a great Valentine’s Day idea for classroom parties!
