My kids and I have been having fun making valentine crafts this year. So far, we’ve made painted heart valentines, heart fish valentines, and flower heart valentines. We definitely have a thing for hearts! That’s why we enjoyed making these heart valentines with pencils.

Heart Valentines with Pencils

Here’s What You Need to Make Heart Valentines with Pencils:

  • Card stock or craft foam
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Festive Pencils (unsharpened)

Here’s How You Make Heart Valentines with Pencils:

1. Create a heart template out of card stock or craft foam.

2. Have your child use the heart template to trace hearts onto card stock or craft foam.

3. Cut out the hearts.

4. Cut two slits in each heart and insert the pencil.

5. Decorate the heart valentine by writing a special message and/or adding smaller hearts cut from the card stock or craft foam.

These Valentine crafts are not only cute and easy to make, they’re a great Valentine’s Day idea because they include a festive pencil as an extra treat!
