It's not necessarily a "brand," but I tell everyone about Kiva.org. We even recommended that people give their gift certificates instead of gifts for our baby's first birthday.

I love WordPress. I promote it, design for it, and tell people about it as often as possible. The side benefit is that this sometimes leads to business, but I would promote it anyways. Really... if you are not, you should be using WordPress. (and yes, I know this site is using WordPress).

The other product I find myself telling people about regularly is TextExpander from SmileOnMyMac.com. Actually I use several of their products, but TextExpander is one of the best utilities I use on a day to day basis. Saves time, keeps me consistent, and makes life better.

I also keep my smartphone phonebook full of local businesses that I love w/ notes of why I love them. Wall street Cantina, great nachos and margaritas. The Globe... Amazing Sweet potato french fries. The Relax Grill on Lake Eola... actually everything there is good and you can't beat the atmosphere or friendly staff.

You can't help but evangelize the things you love, right?

Brands I promote regularly on my blog and on Twitter are Stonyfield Farm yogurt, Dirty Sue, and Cover Girl Lash Exact mascara. Nothing earth shattering but brands nonetheless.
