Look, didn’t you hear? Cold calling is so 1995. Stop calling me.

I don’t get a lot of phone calls. When I do, I’m excited that they might be new clients for Egg. Suffice it to say, when I received two calls from recruiters this week, I was less than thrilled. After all, I work from home. I have a staff of two. I don’t need temp staffing.
One called because I was nominated for the same Women Who Mean Business Award that her manager was. Not enough reason to have something in common. Get your pitch right, girl.
I would never call a company out of the blue and say, “Hey! I see we both wear blue occasionally. Can we help you with your marketing??”
Don’t these people see that there are other ways to get business, like:
