Eggology: Good Packaging, Strong Social Media…and an Eggcellent Giveaway

Congratulations to Kelly Walker, the winner of the Eggology giveaway!

I was recently contacted by the PR contact for Eggology, a company that sells egg products for people on the go. Now, normally I wouldn’t review food on my marketing blog. But the company happens to have a pretty good grasp of social media, so you know that tugged at my heartstrings.

On Facebook, they’re using their Page to share recipes with fans. So if you’re curious like I was to see what kinds of recipes you can make with egg whites, become a fan of their Page.

Eggology uses Twitter to connect with fans, link to articles relating to eggs and health, and communicate with others.

It’s a simple effort, but one that is working for them.

Here you can view my unboxing of the egg whites they sent me.

So how do Eggology’s egg whites taste? I was surprised. I always thought of egg whites as being for people who would sacrifice taste for health, which doesn’t describe me at all. But they’re great! I love the way you pop the container in the microwave and it’s ready in 90 seconds. I like mine with salsa and monterrey jack cheese.

What about you? How do you like your egg whites? Eggology has agreed to give a 3 month supply of egg whites to the winner of our Eggcellent contest.

How do I enter? Just  follow Eggology on Twitter or become a fan on Facebook. Then leave a comment telling us how you would use Eggology’s egg whites, as well as where you’re following Eggology. I’ll choose a winner August 7.

Ha Ha! First of all let me just say that’s so funny – its shouldn’t have an apostrophy! (sp)…

Any ways – I am posting because I would love love love to win a three months supply of egg whites! So here is why I think I should get it!

When it comes to spending money, I really only spend it on food (well other than rent and gas for my car)… and when I spend money on food it’s A LOT because I believe wholeheartedly that health is everything and nutritious food is a large component in everyone’s heath! I buy tons of egg products including eggology on a regular basis as well as vegetables, fish, etc! Oh and did I mention I am a college student, so I am most definitely “racking up” the bill when I buy all my health foods but it is 100% worth it!
I must share my FAVORITE way to use eggology egg whites: take about 1/2 cup of egg whites and mix it with pureed pumpkin, cinnamon, stevia and a bit of nutmeg and then cook pancake style and when plated sprinkle it with a bit more stevia! Ta Da and COMPLETELY guilt free and extremely healthy breakfast that definitely gets me PUMPED for my work out (I work out every morning before taking on the day). Oh and did I mention I eat this breakfast EVERY SINGLE DAY! I would definitely utilize the 3 month supply for sure!!!

*I follow eggology on facebook!*

Following them on twitter. I’d use egg whites for the husband to give him a quick breakfast before he heads to work. He rarely eats breakfast due to time.

Fan on facebook :)

For a health standpoint, I’d love to try them to help out my cholesterol to mix up my breakfast (which is normally eggs or cereal).

Plus, maybe I can fool my boyfriend when using them for cooking..make it a bit better for him!

Followed on Twitter!

These sound fantastic for someone like me. Eating healthy and working out are both egg-stremely important to me…but with a busy schedule I often find it hard to fit in a healthy breakfast.

Early morning work outs, running late to the office, getting home and running a website on the side… anything quick, easy, and healthy would be ideal! The on-the-go packs are such a great idea! Not to mention the on-the-go muffins. YUM!

The Denver Omlet featured on their websites sounds outstanding….that alone could get me out of bed and going in the morning!
