I think it’s important for my kids to learn about other cultures. That’s why I’m thrilled that not only are they learning about various cultures at school, they’re closest friends are from India. As a result of their educational experiences and friendships, my children are learning about different religions, foods, traditions and ways of doing things. However, I’m always looking for more ways to broaden their worldview. If you too want your children to have a multi-cultural education, this is the giveaway for you!

Momsational is giving away two four-packs of the Global Wonders DVD series!

This animated cross-cultural entertainment series teaches children two to seven years old about different cultures by sharing everyday customs, music, heritage, language and lifestyles in the “kaleidoscope” of families and friends that surround them.

Rashmi Turner, a Indian-American mother of two and former executive at The Walt Disney Company, created the series, with counsel from Dr. J. Kevin Nugent, founder of the Brazelton Institute at Children’s Hospital in Boston. His research has shown that children who have cross-cultural friendships tend to be more socially skilled, and are rated by their peers as “more popular” and “smarter.” These effects seem to last into later childhood and adulthood.

According to the creators of Global Wonders, “Parents looking to help their children become good global citizens will appreciate how cross-cultural friendships and families are represented in our stories.”
