Hi,

How true. Anyone who starts a blog thinking they will make a fortune out of adsense is soon disappointed. Driving enough traffic to get enough adsense revenue is REALLY diificult.

It is essential to sell affiliate products to convert traffic into decent size commissions.

I use the word traffic, but it's becoming really apparent that the web has changed and authors have to start creating relationships with their readership to make decent income. Blogging is one of the best ways to do this.

I highly recommend checking out what Lee McIntyre is doing these days. He seems to have this sussed out. Have a look at Project New Web

And don't forget, once you've built an infoproduct, you can also start an affiliate program and enlist the help of other people to promote it in addition!

That can also effectively build your readership quite well.

Best wishes,

Barbara
