Spot on with this! I particularly enjoyed the 'Only being on a network to self promote is a no-no'. This is exactly the message that I've been telling some of my clients for years. Groups and networks exists to support each other and foster relationships, NOT to bang one's own drum on. Great resource here that I'll be turning a few people on to. Thanks again! Yes I would emphasize time, patience especially. Might sound strange, but just being a healthy decent kind human being with no major personality flaw is essential. I can’t tell you how many people out there who bust there butt networking and doing all the right things, but constantly fail in what they are trying to accomplish due to the fact they are just “weird” people. I know it’s obvious but I see it so much. Seems to me these people would be better off in the long run taking a year off and “finding themselves”.
