I started Sparkplugging.com as a hobby blog named eMoms at Home in April of 2006. I never anticipated it would grow to what it has become today, one of the largest sites on the internet dedicated to helping people start real businesses from home to create better life balance for themselves and for their families.

Since that time, I’ve become well known for my expertise on blogging, social media strategy, and starting micro-businesses. It’s because this is my passion - I live and breathe entrepreneurship and absolutely love to help others create careers that are fulfilling and family-friendly. Social technology has created vast opportunities to enable more people to become self-employed, and I love to teach people how to leverage Web 2.0 into work that matters.

I now write for Entrepreneur.com, and I and my company have been featured in The Chicago Daily Herald, Boston’s WBZ, The Huffington Post, LifeHacker, Success Magazine, and Revenue Magazine. I also speak frequently at prominent business/tech conferences including SXSWi, BlogWorldExpo, BlogHer, SOBCon, Small Business Marketing Unleashed, Online Marketing for Women Entrepreneurs and Utah’s Blogging for Business Conference. I also serve on the Blogger Advisory Board for IZEA.

I work with companies and individuals seeking to reach out to women, moms and home office microbusinesses via blogs, Twitter, social media and word of mouth marketing. From marketing plans to mid-sized campaigns, I can work with your existing online presence or create customized integrated programs in partnership with Sparkplugging. In the past, I’ve worked with Epson America to promote two new additions to their product lines via an integrated content partnership and live events.

Blog Consulting

If you have a small business and need to start a blog or need guidance on how to plan a blogging strategy, I’d love to help. I’m a strong blogging advocate and believe every business can see an enhanced bottom line if they take the time to build a blog the right way. From technology and content strategy through marketing and promotion, I know blogging inside and out.

Business Coaching

I take on a limited number of coaching clients as time permits. My area of expertise is helping women entrepreneurs start and grow an online business, diversify their income, and create a strong foundation for long-term success. My approach is to incorporate strategies to ensure that both internal and external roadblocks are eliminated and that clients have a clear path towards their goals. I am a Certified NLP Coach and was a Senior Trainer & Coach with Anthony Robbins & Associates from 2004 - 2007.

Public Speaking

Presentations and public speaking is one of my favorite parts of my ‘job’. I most frequently speak on blogging and social media in relation to small businesses and solo entrepreneurs.
