Hi, thanks for the nice post.

I don’t understand how BurstMedia works… first of all you have to choose between Burst Network and Burst Direct, but will you get context sensitive adds in both cases?

As for SitesAds.com I seem to understand that you need to write your own ads? So it is not an adsense alternative, is it?

Recently I was banned for Google Adsense program for fraudulent clicks! (which I didn’t commit!) I was making $34 something in a period of more than 1 year, so I’m not such a Google fan anymore!
But thanx for the alternatives!

I’ve been wondering which alternatives there are to Adsense as I don’t want to have all my eggs in the same basket. I think I’ll try burst.

BTW, I read your entrepreneur.com article – which is where I learned of Adgridwork. They don’t have a FAQ page; Do you know of anyone using this service – I would like to check out the ads (I read one of your comments, from Kent, but could not locate the adgridwork.com ads).

60 visits so far and I started AdGridWork on May 1. It’s hard for me to determine relevance because my site has so many subjects that pretty much anything is relevant. I don’t get allot of traffic yet because I just started this site in April. I’m still working on that. I do use AdGridWork on my Amazon book site and they seem to be relevant. So far so good.

Kent - I noticed on your site that you are using AdGridWork ads, too. I just mentioned them on my Entrepreneur.com blog today. Can you give me an indication of how much traffic those ads drive to your site, and how relevant their ads are that show up on your site?

I just got banned from Google adsense for click fraud. This is ridiculous; I never clicked my own ads. Anyway, I’m trying Bidvertiser it does not auto detect keywords but it didn’t ask for a minimum number of clicks per month. Most of the alternatives to adsense have a minimum number of visits a month.

I found your site in my quest for other choices and noticed you have an excellent blog. I’m not a emom but I’m and edad. I found your site very helpful. Thanks.

Kontera was active on my site for less than 30 hours. Neat idea but ridiculous results. Suggested the site findstuff.com after latching on to the key word “blind”.

I realize that there’s an optimization period – but I saw the same ridiculous things happening on established blogs whose owners know a thing or two about tweaking ad proggies.

Looked at burst and realized that new blogs just wont qualify. It needs to be able to send a minimum of 5000 views per month to burst. Whew!

hey this is a cool list. I will take this discussion forward in my blog. I think on finding our own advertisers, visiting blogs similiar to ours and checking out who advertises there can give good leads sometimes.

I agree with you on kontera ads. I think it is very helpful and a innovative idea.
