Hi, I am a full time eBay seller for 3 years now and came across Salehoo this month. I have not join, but am considering dropshipping. But was wondering the question, what if many people join and get the same supplier, won’t we be selling the same thing with the same photograph?

Ebay makes me nervous. I guess that as a buyer, I get overwhelmed by all of the sellers on there, and I wonder how it is that anyone is actually making any money. It seems like it would have been awesome to be involved five years ago, but I’m skeptical about it being profitable now. I mean, if everyone has access to the same products and drop shippers and everything, what’s the point? I’m curious to hear more about being successful from people who aren’t just trying to sell you books on “how to be successful.” I guess I’m pretty darn skeptical about those, too!

I’m 3 days new to this amazing blog and community… and have been soaking up so much great information! Thanks Wendy and everyone here!

I coach moms selling on eBay – have been since early 2004… and there is some great money to be made there. I have found one of the best ways to sell on eBay is to USE eBay to generate traffic to your business. I’m just starting to learn about social networking online (squidoo, myspace, etc.) and eBay is right up there with one of the most visited sites – but, what separates it from something like myspace is that ebay visitors are already ready to open their wallets. Learning to harness the traffic from eBay and point it to your own websites, in my opinion, is a very lucrative way to ’sell’ on eBay.

Of course there are so many other aspects of selling and about learning how to sell on eBay (timing of listing, having a good title, having a good product, etc.)… but I think a lot of internet marketers miss out because they think that selling on eBay is just listing, selling and packaging products.

What I would like to know, is if it makes any sense (monetarily) to walk into one of those eBay stores to have an item sold for you. They’ll have the high volume, high rated account, so people will trust them and buy whatever it is you’re selling. You save time (meaning money), by outsourcing the work of listing and shipping your item.

I am brand new to ebay. One of the things that really worries me about it is how do you know. Like really know that you will get what you are paying for?

Having an Ebay expert do a regular thing would be awesome. Not just for people who want to start up a store, but for anyone involved in eBay

I would be very interested as i have been told many times I could sell my art on ebay, but when I look it always seems to be the cheaper end of lines. I have some hand painted silk scarves. I also would like to learn about the various ways of setting up ebay stores, so a great idea Wendy

Wendy, I think it would be great to get an experienced eBay seller to write articles here for your readers.

There have been times where I have thought about getting into eBay selling, or trying to get my wife interested in it, but I felt like a lot of the information I was finding was other sites trying to rip me off.

Being able to hear from an experienced seller would be outstanding and provide a great learning opportunity for those that do want to pursue it but aren’t sure where to start.
