Just a quick weekend note to let you know that several people on Twitter have let me know that they are having a hard time visiting our domain. Every time they try to click through to a page from Google Reader, type in the URL, or even come from another site, they are finding they are being redirected back to our feed in Google Reader. One person even was somehow automagically subscribed to our site simply by visiting, which pissed her off enough never to return (and pissed me off enough to figure out WTF is going on!).

Turns out there is a problem with a greasemonkey script included in the Better GReader FireFox plugin. From what I understand, a fix has been released to solve the problem.

Please go update it so you can come back and visit me… I miss you so. ;)

Well, I think it’s stupid for people to “dis-own” the site just because of a glitch. I mean really, grow up and realize that some things happen.

Oh, no Lori, it’s not that. They CAN’T get to the site - they try, but every attempt brings them back to Google Reader.

You know, if I were a conspiracy theorist… :D

Could it be true? I made it here! woohoo!

Disabled “auto add to reader (bypass iGoogle choice)”

My guy calls those things hic-cups and you fix them and move on. The site is great and I imagine there will be other issues. Only God is perfect.

For anyone with harsh words, it is best they move on because in the end nothing will please those kind of people…

I just uninstalled the plugin and was able to get on the site. Thanks for tracking down the problem, Wendy.

Wendy - just to let you know, I have had the same problem too. I upgraded the script, but the problem continued. Now I have disabled it, and -woohoo- here I am. :) I like you much better than that stupid script.

CJ - You are the BEST! But maybe if you did a cache clear or did a restart, you could have the best of both worlds?

But if that doesn’t work, I like being picked over a script. It’s good for my ego. :)
