You may (or may not!) be surprised to hear that I wake up every single morning asking myself “What else can I do to support the Work at Home Community”? One of the things that I hated about my old theme is that it wasn’t really set up to be able to sell advertising to people like you and me :: tiny & startup businesses that have even tinier budgets for marketing & promotion.
One of the ‘Must Have’s’ that I intentionally designed into our new template was a place to put the spotlight on YOU. I didn’t have the resources to be able to offer super-cheap advertising before, and I can only link out to so many other blogs on any given day.
Enter the Discount Community Advertising Project
For a mere $25 a month, you can get an ad on Sparkplugging. And I’m only going to sell enough spots so that every person who advertises will get a bare minimum of 25,000 ad views - with up to 33,000 (or so) ad views if we have a good month.
This isn’t about the money to me - in fact, the ad revenue will be shared with the network authors who write for Sparkplugging. Because guess what? I like to support them too!
The ad section will show up on every single page of this site (except for three landing pages on the root of the site), and your ad will rotate with other ads from the rest of our community.
You can even buy either Text Ads or Banner Ads (and no, because I know you want to ask, these text links will not increase your Google Page Rank).
So Who Gets the Juicy Discount?
Pretty much just you, Dear Regular Reader. But if you have more than 3 employees in your company, you’ll have to advertise with the big busineesses over here instead.
You can promote your site, your products, your store, whatever. I do have to remind you, though, that I don’t take advertising for internet marketing systems or programs that I am not familiar with first hand. And if I think for whatever reason that your ad is inappropriate, we will not run it.
Want to Win a Spot Instead?
Kelly over at WAHM 2.0 is giving a spot away - all you have to do to get on The List is to leave a comment. We’ll pick a winner on Friday, and if you buy an ad before hand, I will either refund your purchase or give you a second month for free.

I would totally love this for either of my blogs, but particularly my food blog. I have been trying to increase my traffic over there! It’s very generous of you to do that Wendy.

3 employees is considered big, eh? Probably not in the eyes of owners of corporations, but it certainly takes some effort to achieve when you are just starting out. =)

Wendy, you are truly a generous person. Thanks for the opportunity! I’ll post a link to your contest as well. Consider me in the running!
