eSelfHelp Lives On in the ExperienceProject

Many of you know that the reason this blog got started is because I was going to start a self help website with a social networking component at eSelfHelp.com. My ‘grand vision’ was to connect people who had ‘been there – done that’ with other people who shared those same experiences, or were looking for help while they were in the midst of the experience now.

Well thanks to the magic of StumbleUpon, I was thrilled to see today that someone else got this great idea and brought it to fruition – and did a better job than I would have. ;) I’m super-psyched to see it come to life, and they creepily started about the same time I did – perhaps there’s something to be said about Jung’s Collective Unconscious after all?!

So I wanted to give a shout out to the folks over at The Experience Project, and I think many of you will find the site fascinating and addicting, like I have. :D

From the site:

Experience Project is a new networking community that connects you to others through shared life experiences and beliefs. You can be as anonymous or public as you like– get to know your friends better, and make new ones that understand the real you! You’ll find incredible support and friendship inside.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Experience Project has its roots in a series of non-profit health communities we started, with our passion being to connect people who understand each other. If you would ever like to share your suggestions on how we can improve, we’d be thrilled to talk to you– and we’d be honored if your readers spent some time with us.

Isn’t that so great!? I’ve been amazed and grateful that some of my very best ideas are executed by other people! It’s a relief! We don’t have all the time and resources to do it all…glad to see that one of your dreams is being fulfilled so you can keep on keeping on here and elsewhere, Wendy! Looking forward to checking out this site!

I’m a believer that there can’t be too many support avenues.

Another network that’s just started up for the whole “been there done that” support crowd is http://www.checkuptoday.com – The In Your Shoez Newz.

We all need a little support sometimes and need to feel needed by giving support at others.
