Yahoo is on a roll this week with some GREAT news headlines. I have been forwarding links to my friends all week. Today, you are the lucky recipients of another great news article, “U.S. contest seeks to be “American Idol’ of books“.
So for all of you aspiring book authors, Gather.com has started a book writing competition. One novelist will win a publishing contract with Touchstone/Simon & Schuster, a $5,000 cash prize and promotion by Borders. The competition will be American Idol style, with chapters being publically reviewed, and authors will be ‘voted off’ on a regular basis – chapter by chapter.
So dust off that manuscript, polish it up, and go get your book deal!
