As many of you know, I’ve been working on how to grow this site in innovative new ways to continue to push my mission forward.
What is that mission?
To get in front of every single weary, dissatisfied, or under-earning parent who is settling for less than their full potential and let them know that it is never too late to go after your entrepreneurial dreams, and that each of us were put on this planet to do great things.
I’ve spent more time on the phone with colleagues and brainstorming in the last two weeks than I have in the last two months combined.
Some of the things we have uncovered in these conversations:
- That work at home and stay at home dads are a very under-served group of guys who want community, research resources, and partnership opportunities just as much as us moms do
- That all parent entrepreneurs want more help being great parents while continuing to grow their bottom line
- That there is a bigger need for quality content than I am capable of writing
That being said, I have to hint at the fact that these conversations have been extraordinarily exciting because I’m getting the opportunity to think SO much bigger than I have until now. And I also have some extremely enthusiastic individuals who want to be a part of the growth and evolution of this site.
So when is being a picky control freak a good thing?
I think you all know that I’m rather protective of the eMoms brand and the content I deliver to you on this site. I would never compromise that quality and commitment to your growth for a buck, and I’m pretty sure that you know that.
So when it came to thinking about who the hell I would turn to for that same commitment to excellence and passion for being a parent entrepreneur, I could only think of a tiny handful of people. Then considering that most them were also working heavily on their own projects, the group proved to be even smaller.
I had to ask -
Who out there would pour their heart and soul into this kind of site?
Who has that same vision and mission behind their own work?
And who would consider being a long-term partner as I work to grow eMoms at Home to a more valuable resource for entrepreneurial parents?
Darn straight I was a picky control freak when I asked these questions – but I also knew that the right people to partner with were also going to be people that I could trust enough to let that “inner control freak” go.
So I am super-thrilled to announce that Dawud Miracle is going to be writing for eMoms at Home on a regular basis.
Dawud is an inspiring work-at-home dad in his own right, and he has some extensive entrepreneurial experience as both a professional web designer and an alternative healing professional. His blog at dmiracle.com exemplifies his commitment to conversation in the blogosphere and his expertise in small business consulting in every way, shape and form.
And I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled that he and I are working together!
Although I will say that more improvements, resources, and people will likely be added to the mix at a later date, Dawud will be starting to contribute content as of next week.
Please give him the warm welcome and congratulations he deserves – if you haven’t already read Dawud’s stuff, you will LOVE him as much as I do!

Cool. That is a really great idea.
I am glad you have decided to take your blog this route. It’s a bit of surprise to me, but I like the slightly new direction you are taking your blog.

I just popped over to Dawud’s site and I’m looking forward to some great articles on entrepreneurship/being a parent/learning about blogging from a dad’s perpsective!
Congratulations Dawud, and welcome! If Wendy recommends you, you must have some great things to say!
Congratulations to you too, Wendy, sounds like you have decided on the direction of your blog.
Look forward to reading some stuff from Dawud. Congratulations all around.
What a great addition. As a full time work at home Dad (before kids and since) this is a great addition. I’m looking forward to hearing about life / work balance and dealing with the little “Dad, can you just…” while on an important business call
Welcome Dawud, I have had a chance to visit your site and I love it. Your post on Why you should own your blog really helped me see things in a whole different light. Your post along with what I am learning on Yaro’s BlogMastermind course woke me up to the fact that owning your blog and your website is critical.
Have a great day.
Welcome, Dawud. It will be exciting to see what you bring to the mis!
