How encouraging this post is Wendy and spurs me on to do more with my site.
I got very despondent a few weeks ago when my Technorati rankings dropped by 30 points, etc
It is also uplifting in that I have had a week off with flu and am behind in all areas, thanks to your 7 days to a better blog and setting up the abundance thinking Blog carnival the traffic and rankings are on the rise.

Your Blog gives great mentorship to me, thank you.
I can also see attending Blog World in Los Vegas in November will be very worthwhile

I have noticed some thing too in my short time blogging. THe more consistent I am, the more visitors I get. When I put my posts on a schedule to show at the same time everyday, I get way more traffic than ever before!

I think blog automation is key to rising very high, very fast. I'm still learning a LOT, constantly reading, learning, forging relationships -- bu the end result as you say is well worth it. I really like this blog and the community it fosters. And the advice is excellent!

Hi Wendy, thanks so much for your inspiration, especially point #3..."it takes a long time to get the hang of driving traffic and revenue on the internet. I almost gave up several times. I am so flipping glad I stuck it out."....this definitely isn't a "get rich quick" type of business, I really appreciate reading your personal progress.

Congratulations on your success, Wendy! :)

Ah, Paula - I KNOW you have been after me to publish this for a while! I may put up a post with some percentages, but I really don't like talking about how much money I make online - some people would be totally impressed - others would think it is peanuts.

At this point, nearly half of what I make is from direct advertisers, then ad networks slightly beat out affiliate income. ;)

Your statement:

"There’s nothing more discouraging than your first year of trying to make money online."

... could not be more true. But, you've inspired me to forge ahead. I'm only about three months into it so i've got a long ways to go.

Great job, Wendy.

Your PPC info will really help me.

So...have you ever considered posting your monthly blogging income broken down by source to help us readers even more?

It was great meeting you at BlogHer.

Keep up the excellent work,
Paula
