I swear, DAILY I’m having this internal struggle…

Do I blog today, or do I do the millions of other things I need to do?

Since lots of work at home parents are similarly wading through this December, I find that traffic is dipping and even my unending motivation is waning as the snow falls and my favorite gingersnap cookies are begging to be baked!

But this blog is so critical to my business… And I know if I don’t maintain it now, I’ll be kicking myself in the pants later for being a S.L.A.C.K.E.R. :)

So I came across a GREAT post yesterday that indeed gave me the kickstart I needed to get another post up today. Courtesy of HotCoding.com here are 29 Topics and 29 Sentence Starters for your Blog.

With a list like this, we have NO excuse to be blog slackers! Now get writing!

The best motivator for me is having the adsense plugin in firefox. When I see it at a minimum and I know that just by blogging one post I can make some immediate money (and see it in real time), I end up blogging. :)

Wendy - this is something I deal with everyday. I have a huge and ever growing to do list, yet I feel like I need to post at my blogs and get a different sense of accomplishment than I do when I get chores or client work done.

I don’t have myself on a schedule. I am kind of an “anti schedule” girl. For instance, my grandfather died a couple weeks ago. I truly was speechless. I just had nothing to say. Now that things are kind of settling, I am bubbling with thougts and things to blog about again.

Somedays I blog 5 times. Other times I blog twice a week. But I do find the more I blog, the more I have to say. It’s kind of like unleashes something in my creativity.

Also, I keep an “inspiration basket” with topics, articles, notes from events, etc that gives me blog fodder.

Thanks for the link to the list of ideas Wendy.

I also keep my own “article ideas” list to write down all of the ideas that pop into my head. I find that it happens more often when I am away from the computer, which shows that it’s good to get up and take a break! :)
