Link Love

Link love for lovely people writing & doing lovely things…

In case you haven’t heard about it already, Adobe has launched Photoshop Express, a free, web-based version of Photoshop, my seriously favorite program on the planet. Online editing, 2GB of storage, & even Photoshop filters. Right on, Adobe.

For a great listen on social media marketing, being a work at home parent, search engine marketing in a web 2.0 world and building an internet business, check out the March 17th episode of WAHM Talk Radio, with two of my favorite eMoms, Jennifery Laycock & Kelly McCausey. It was seriously a great show.

Aruni writes a really interesting post called The Psychology of Entrepreneurship, and in doing so has got me wanting this book called The MavHERick Mind. She says it’s “a fascinating read on how and why women entrepreneurs in particular hold themselves back from achieving the success that they are capable of.”

And finally my friend Blagica sent me a note about this great contest for women entrepreneurs - only to find in the find print that by entering you are basically handing over your business model to Yahoo Small Business and Caroline Kepcher’s FindingWhatMatters. Yeeks.

Thanks for the mention. It was an easy-to-read book. I’ll be posting a guest post from the author later this week. :-)

Might want to check the fine print at photoshop express too. If you make your pics public there, you let adobe use them wherever and whenever they see fit. :(

I was impressed with Photoshop Express the couple of times I got to play around with it a little bit. I didn’t realize that Adobe was laying claim to photos, but I’m not sure why that should surprise me. Thanks for the warning Andrea!

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for the tip on Photoshop Express, and also to Andrea for the note on the fine print. I’ve been using Photoshop 7, still have A LOT to learn about Photoshop but I like playing around with it.

You may want to read the Terms of Service with the Adobe Photoshop online app(is it a service or an app? I don’t know). I remember hearing that it includes some wording that could give them rights to use your photographs. If that kind of thing worries you, you may want to be cautious about using it.
