I believe that the White Witch has finally been vanquished here in Chicagoland, which has had its snowiest winter since the infamous blizzard of 1979. I was seriously beginning to feel like we were stuck in Narnia :: always winter, never Christmas.
Yet behold, the signs of life:

Repeat after me:
I will not play hooky until my deadlines are met.
I will not play hooky until my deadlines are met.
I will not play hooky until my deadlines are met.
So, what is the Monday Motivation drill?
Step 1 - let us know what you are going to get done today (your to-do list, so to speak).
Step 2 - put it in a comment below or a post on your own site.
Step 3 - let us know what will motivate you to get it done - a reward, consequences, or whatever you need to think that will ensure you do what you say you are going to do. I’ve found that the public announcement and accountability is a particularly great motivator, but throw down consequences if you really need a kick in the pants to get stuff done! Unless, of course, you are working towards a new laptop too, in which case I think the reward is particularly motivating.
We don’t care how you get it done, we just want to support you in reaching your goals.
Today before I go to sleep I will:
- Clean out my inbox of 462 emails
- 3 loads of laundry
- Finish changing WordPress settings all new blogs
- Create thumbnails for each blog
- Call Kelly McCausey
If I don’t get all of this done by the time I said I would, I will give a Kiva Entrepreneur another $250.

My To-Do-List

3)Read atleast 1 full chapter in my A-level Physics.
4)Complete the first two steps in my personal project.
My Motivation: No idea. Tried so many ways.
uh..following the author, if i dont complete my already-twice-shortened-to-do-list by tommorrow, i am going to eat a lot of Famous Amos’s cookies and brownies and put on weight.
It randomly started snowing here a few minutes ago… out of a sunny sky…
I’ve put my Monday Motivation up on my blog.
Just having the routine helps!
My crocus (I think that’s what they are!) are a little behind yours.
My plan for today is to trim some bushes. I’ve already had several setbacks to my day including a sick child so I am hoping to accomplish that task at least.

Hiya!
I’m getting ready to tackle the first chapter of my kid’s book. The first chapter is really intimidating, so even if all I do is start it, it’s a big win.
If all goes well, I have some errands this week, but will still get 3-5 chapters of my book done. (I try not to put pressure on myself for quota, I try for quality.)
Motto this week: stop making excuses!

Howdy Wendy & other ladies! I’ve got lots to do today since my husband’s birthday is tomorrow.
1. Go pickup is new 30/30 Winchester from a neighbor and pay $350 for it:(
2. Finish cooking & taking pictures of my cream cheese danish for my food blog. (Just 30 minutes left!)
3. Clean the house spic & span! No man likes a dirty house, especially on his birthday!
4. Run to Van Horn (30min. away) and pickup some cooking essentials for my man’s special day.
5. Update the rest of my blogs because I neglected them over the weekend.
6. Sit on my thumbs with anticipation for my new adobe CS3 to arrive!!!
7. Find a book online for web designing!
8. Wash clothes, as usual:(
9. Pray that someone buys my handbags on ebay;) (yep, shameless plug)
10. Finish working on my ebook!
That should keep my busy for a bit, ya think?

Today I will
1.write 2 blog posts
2 Really clean up my email and unsubscribe from mosts lists
3.Finish replying to all the comments on my blog from my exposure last week on problogger
4.Sort out what social network I am going to focus on
When I have done this I will listen to A new Earth with Oprah and Echardt
It’s been spring in Georgia for a while now.
By the end of today, I will:
1. Write 3 blog posts

4. Do a load of dishes
If I accomplish these things, then I get to read a couple chapters of a fun book.

I had 3 posts to write today, a few appts to secure and calls to make -not as many spinning plates as in Monday’s past and that felt good for a change. My big news is that I have had some interesting connections happen because of my blog, I wrote a post about Paul Stitt former owner of Natural Ovens Bread Company selling out and he wrote to me. I interviewed him today. I am not a journalist and am trying to figure out how to write what I heard him say. Pretty darn amazing. AND a guy that I think I remember, wrote to ask if I lived in the same building as he - early 80’s ladies - i wrote in a post “nudist mandolin player, puerto rican lesbians and surf street” and THAT is how he found me? I am astounded how small the world it is. Sorry to blab this was more of newsy day than a to do day. Domestically I did wash the back flight of stairs down, and they are a completely different color now - they were filthy!

It’s the end of the day but I want to throw in my comment on how proud I am that I accomplished one of my to-do lists last fall…..my dad said I needed to plant the bulbs he gave me on October 1st, I didn’t do it until a month later and was worried I waited too long. Well since I got it done, I saw the sprouts of those flowers today, yipee!!
I’m really proud of myself for getting that done and your pic of the flowers made me think of it. Thanks Wendy!

I am so sad I missed monday motivation. I was having computer issues and it took a couple days to get them resolved. However, since I couldn’t do much online yesterday, I did accomplish a lot offline….including washing windows, 3 loads of laundry and various business stuff. Hopefully I can *play* next week : )
