Monday Motivation :: The Let’s-Get-This-Over-With Edition

Monday Motivation Home Office NinjaI’ve been fairly productive this morning, so much so that I didn’t want to stop to write a dang Monday Motivation post! But then I saw a post from Lynn, who is a brand-new participant in MM, so I felt I kind of had to keep the tradition going. :)

That being said, you were all so dang sweet last week – yeah, I was having a bad day. And yeah, your comments made me feel tons better. :)

So here’s the Monday Motivation drill:

Step 1 – let us know what you are going to get done today, tomorrow, or this week (your to-do list, so to speak).

Step 2 – put it in a comment below or a post on your own site.

Step 3 - let us know what will motivate you to get it done – a reward, consequences, or whatever you need to think that will ensure you do what you say you are going to do. I’ve found that the public announcement and accountability is a particularly great motivator, but throw down consequences if you really need a kick in the pants to get stuff done! Unless, of course, you are working towards a new laptop too, in which case I think the reward is particularly motivating.

We don’t care how you get it done, we just want to support you in reaching your goals.

Today before I go to sleep I will:

And by the end of the week I will:

  • Finish all remaining pages on my new project (almost ready to break the news about it, too!)
  • Write up a review of the Sony Cybershot that I was graciously given to test
  • Take my kids somewhere fun
  • Put up the Business Inspiration Blog Carnival

Ann, I’m going to take your advice – if I get all of my stuff done, I will take a whole day next weekend to go shooting (as in the photo kind). AND if I don’t get all of this done, no coffee for me for a week!

So what are you going to get done today?

1. get talk prepared
2. Design new business card
3. prepare worksheet
4. Plan date for intro teleclass LOA and your blogging business

OK, I am revising my list.

I’ve been having a harder and harder time lately getting my things done for my MM lists – and I finally realized today that it’s because I’m still committing to the same things I have always committed to, but haven’t taken into account that I am much busier than I used to be.

So my one revision is that I will get through my inbox by tomorrow night instead of tonight. The dang messages came in faster than I could clear them out today! :)
