James - don’t be too hard on MBL. It’s international contest laws that are extremely difficult to work with. What is legal in one country is illegal in another, and those conflicts make it next to impossible to run a contest that is legal in multiple jurisdictions.

I have the same problem with our Parent Product Reviews blog, in which the author is British, yet we can’t run contests that are inclusive to the bulk of her audience. It makes me so sad to have to do it, but legal nightmares make me even sadder. ;)
