Congratulations on experiencing a moment of being financially independent!! You obviously deserve it because of your sheer determination but it’s still gratifying to finally see the fruits of all that effort!

I’ve been in a similar situation rebuilding credit and it is a whole lot harder for women then men – so much for equality huh? It definitely is a hard won battle and once you achieve it you sure don’t want anything to come along and mess it up.

I think you’re right to tread carefully and make good solid decisions regarding credit use. The temptation is to go large but for some that can mean disaster and another downward spiral (been there myself). Sounds like you know better than to head down that road
