I’m way behind on passing around some well-deserved link love. These fine bloggers are people you should go visit. Now.
David Dalka is a fine Chicago area marketing and tech company blogger that keeps a good eye on events and tech in the area. We got the chance to chat at last week’s party hosted by Jeff Pulver and we’ll be seeing more of each other at Ad:Tech in July. David also gave me some good insights on what VC’s are looking for when they invest in a business (yes, that was a hint).
He mentioned that he is looking for companies ready to scale. Hmmmm…
Sarah Lewis is doing an interesting experiment in which she will pay for you to learn how to blog (in Yaro’s big new Blogging Mastermind program, no less!) in exchange for writing for some of her blogs.
I just might have to steal that idea.
Phil Van Treuren has just launched a new blog called ContestBlogger - a one-stop shop for all of the gazillions of blogging contests out there. Great idea, Phil!
Steve, regular reader ’round here (you may know him as Manthem) has also launched a new site called IveTriedThat. It’s a review type website where summarize and
investigate popular programs, scams, and free services, and they promise an honest review.
Their tag line is the best, though: We lose money so you don’t have to. Gotta love it.
Finally, Char over at Essential Keystrokes is celebrating her blogiversary this week. She’s running a contest too with great bloggy prizes - including several GREAT books by amazing bloggers. Char and I have gotten to be very good friends since the beginning of the year, and I just wish she and I lived closer to each other - if she were my next door neighbor I would never live in another house again.
Happy Birthday Char - Love Ya!!!

Sparkplugging Founder Wendy Piersall is dang passionate about helping people start & grow a business while maintaining life balance (somehow).
Dawud Miracle has one focus: to help you get it. The it? How your website, and blog, can change the way you do business. You can find out more at

Thanks for the link love, Wendy, and feel free to steal my idea.
There are plenty of potential bloggers to go around!
I’ve been amazed at the quality of applicants so far; lots of people with great writing skills who just don’t know anything about blogging yet. I’m now envisioning a future where I can claim to have discovered one of the A-list.
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out.
I’m looking for top notch leadership roles in search engines and startups with actual revenue models. I’m reaching the inflection point.

Thanks for the love Wendy. We’re now trying to incorporate requested reviews. So, if you have something you’ve been a little wary about signing up for, visit our website and send me an email and we’ll do our best to look into it for you.
Great links, Wendy! Wow, can’t wait to check them out (after work)
Lots of cool stuff to read over. I’ll go ahead and check them out now (while at work) ;P
Phil’s idea for the ContestBlogger website was a great one. Don’t you just kick yourself for not thinking of ideas like that first!
The blog should do very well.
Better late then never. Everyone loves that linking love!
Great reading. Don’t wait just click and read people, click and read.
Wendy - I wish you were my neighbor, too - but we might not get as much work done
Don’t forget to bring the boat, though. Thanks so much for the link love!
Stephen - I love it - ..just click and read people, click and read. It reminds me of the movie Madagascar (just smile and wave boys, smile and wave).
I applied for Sarah’s project I hope I get accepted. I would love the chance at something like that. Thanks for the new food for thought Wendy.
Thanks for sharing the links and the upbeat attitude. Link love is great.
I could use all the help folks are willing to give; I’m still such a novice sometimes.
Wendy, I got one of the internships:) Thanks for putting it up there and thanks to Kelly Anderson for putting the idea in my head that maybe Sarah would go for me even though I have one blog running. I am PSYCHED!!
