What’s happenin’ around town…

It’s the BlogJolt!
When I first started this blog, I borrowed an idea from Des Walsh and started the (now defunct) BlogJolt. Every week our group of bloggers picked a blog to write about and link to - only organic, original content allowed. It was a great way to get to know each other while also helping each other to build links and traffic.
Two similar projects have come across my desk lately.
- Publicity Wheel is doing something similar but automated with a script you put on your site. As long as they are screening applicants, I think it’s worth taking a look at.
- A more hands-on approach is getting started at Chris Garrett’s Authority Blogger forum. Get to know the people involved and help each other by promoting their best content. Again, only organic, genuine promotion is allowed.

Chris Garrett’s blog forum looks quite new, but i’m going to check it out anyway. I’m always into making new contacts. I think it is important in the world of bloggers.

I’m turning 40 this year. Did you know that means that suddenly I’m not the cool mom anymore? Yep, suddenly it means I’m the weird mom that spends too much time on the computer.
LOL I took the Geek Quiz & I’m a Geek wannabe!! I only had 7 out of 15 but wanted them ALL!! too funnie!! xox Claire
It’s okay, Wendy, I’m that weird mom too. My college-student son laughed at me because I have a whiteboard “just like a REAL web developer!”
I told him to get a haircut. :-/
And I got 13 out of 15 too. I lost points because I have no cell phone or PDA.
I have a ways to go re: total geekness - if the geek had a nutrition or green bent, I might have scored higher
I didn’t score as high as some of you, but I am definitely a geek.
Keeping a laptop, etc. near or in my bed? I’d love to - but we have two kittens and by morning I doubt that it would be functional anymore!
