I feel like I won the lottery yesterday! If you can believe it, I actually slept a little bit last night! :D

So I’ve received a lot of burning questions about my Golden Ticket to the Elite Retreat. Here are all of the burning answers:

I’m not going to post my winning entry to the contest question, “Why should a legitimate business need to worry about branding?” I don’t feel like it’s my place to do so when these guys have graciously invited me to their conference for free. I will tell you that I used every bit of my marketing experience, design experience and my coaching knowledge to put together an answer that talked about branding on conscious and unconscious levels (and I made a few other backup points in case they didn’t go for that answer! ;) ). I think they may post it at a later date themselves, anyway.

I DO want to meet up with any of you who might be in the Bay Area. Edward Mills and I have already set a tentative time on Sunday night in downtown San Franciso at the Courtyard Downtown Marriott. Drop me a line if you want to come!

Yes, you can expect lots of video and blog coverage of the Elite Retreat. But don’t expect me to give all of their secrets away! They have four more dates in 2007 - Orlando, Chicago, Phoenix and Dallas. So I hope to return the favor to the gang and let everyone know just how valuable this experience is!

Lastly, I want to get all mushy and thank everyone. Your well wishes and incredibly flattering comments here (and even on other blogs!!) even brought a tear or two to my eye. I’m really honored to be a part of such an amazing and wonderful community, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to your success as you have to mine. *Aw, shucks, my eyes are watering again!!*

Very nice congratulations. I always love to win things. I haven’t won anything since a bike in 3rd grade haha. But its always fun. I am just glad. I use your site alot to recommend to people when I consult as proof that things like this work and that there are moms out there that do things online and are successful at blogging and your site deserved the golden ticket :)

Thanks for the link, Wendy. I’m really looking forward to meeting you in person. You may even get to meet my wife and daughter if we decide to make it a family day down in the big city! (We’re country folks up here in Wine Country).

I’m a little envious to say the least.

I’ll have to connect more with bloggers in the UK and Ireland so we can learn from eachother in a similar setting (minus the sun).

Big congrats Wendy, saw that on ProBlogger early this morning and got distracted before I could email you to congratulate you.

Wendy, love your site, don’t know why I didn’t find it sooner.

Enjoy the Retreat, you’ll learn so much! I won the ticket they gave away in December - and I’m still re-reviewing my notes and implementing things. (my kids thought I was crazy when I won, too) Congrats!

Hey Wendy,

I’d like to know what kind of a schedule you’ll be on during the week that you are gone - as far as keeping up with affairs of the blog and answering comments.

Should we just assume you are taking a well deserved 1 week vacation?

Do I still get the $1 per comment that we agreed upon, while you are gone? (e-mail me for my paypal account info!) ;)

You Go, Girl — Have Fun!!

(I got your post in email this morning from Feedburner, which is too cool. I use Feedburner, too, because I don’t think my audience (including me!) is savvy to RSS — we like our email!)
