I’ve been tagged with David Airey’s meme - The Face Behind the Blog by dear friend Dawud.
What I love about this game is that bloggers site authors are showing everyone the personal side of themselves - via pictures. Since I’m such a visual person, every time a friend puts up one of these posts, I run to the post to get to know them better.
So without further ado, I introduce you to the real eMom behind eMoms at Home - Wendy Piersall - me!

This is my awesome hubby and me - eDad and eMom! Since he’s been sober for nearly a year now, our lives have changed drastically and we truly have an extraordinary relationship. He even asked me last night if I wanted to consider doing some of our own weekend relationship seminars for couples. Talk about a 180 degree turnaround!

This is my favorite picture of my kids - although it’s about 3 years old now.

This picture was taken 9 years ago this week. Happy Anniversary honey (yeah, I’m really a brunette - shhhhh!).

This is me and a good friend on our boat last summer. Fingers crossed the weather will be good enough this Memorial Day Weekend to go out for the first time this year!!

Once a River Rat, always a River Rat I guess - remember when I mentioned that I was living out of my truck making $75 a week? Well, this was it - my first job out of college was as a whitewater rafting guide on the Arkansas River.

This is eMom and ProBlogger - hanging out the first night of Elite Retreat.

This is our house - we live in the far west suburbs of Chicago near the area called the Fox Valley (named for the beautiful - and boatable! - Fox River).

Yep - this is my office - with my 12 year old Mini-Me. I’m sitting in this exact chair typing on that exact laptop right this very second!

Lastly, this is the entire family on a spring hike at nearby Starved Rock. We love getting family time in the great outdoors, so this is one of my favorite family pictures of all.
I think I’m supposed to tag people, but I really love this little project. So I request that any and all readers who have seen this please put together your own Face Behind the Blog Post together and PLEASE send me a link so that I can get to know you better too!

Wendy,
This is a great post!
Thank you so much for joining in and letting us get you know you a bit better.
Superb photos, and your kids all look adorable! I wish you all the success in the world, whatever form that might take.
I’m off to add you to the original list of participants.
aww your post is nice. and your kids are cute.
Love the wedding photo too. Very pretty dress.
Wendy,
I love the personal posts. I feel like I know you so much better. Thanks for sharing…
Um…embarassingly enough I do not know how to put pictures on a post…sheepish grin…
I am one of those people who like to take walks at night because you can see all the people doing things in there home that make them - people and I feel connected - even though I’m kinda peeping (I know - weirdo!)…anyway my point is this was like taking that walk. I like getting clues that solidify that the good feeling you get from someone is there for a reason. Thanks for letting me peep into your life!
Hey there, friend.
It’s great to see photos of your family. Of course your kids are beautiful…and your husband isn’t so bad himself (yeah, I’m masculine enough to say that).
Here’s hoping some time soon we can bring our families together and just hang out. Hiking anyone???
oooh, kids are CUTE!!!
lovely family. give congrats to your hubby for doing so well.
Dawud - you’re close enough that you don’t have to wait for a big barbeque to come down for a visit! Maybe in the next few weeks you and the family can come down and we can head out on the boat! THAT would be a BLAST!
Also, thanks to everyone else for your nice comments about my kids - I agree though admittedly am totally biased.
Sue - for photos in posts, it’s easy. If you scroll down the page as you are writing a post, there is a spot for “Uploads”. Just navigate to your file and upload it - WP will walk you through how to get it in the post. IF the photo doesn’t get inserted where you want it to go, just drag and drop!
What a beautiful family!!!
I live over in Schaumburg so if I see you out somewhere I’ll have to say “Aren’t you that famous eMom?”
Great post. Thanks for sharing.
A great post!
Got to know you personally. Good luck.
Great pictures Wendy! I love getting to know my favorite bloggers better! My “behind the blog” post is up too. David managed to come up with the best meme of all time I think.
Cute kids wendy, thanks for showing us a little more about your life
Looks enjoyable
What a great idea to get to know each other a little better. My post is up.

Wendy - you and your family are just beautiful - your little ones have such captivating eyes.
It is so much fun seeing the faces behind the blogs - kudos to David for starting this one.
Wendy,
As I mentioned over on my website, get in touch when / if you make it to Ireland. I can’t promise I’ll be in the country, but if I am it’d be a pleasure to meet!
Randa, Char,
You’re both very kind, but I don’t deserve any credit for this little project. It’s you, the participants, who deserve credit for giving us all a personal insight into your lives. I fully understand that it’s not for everyone to join in, so my thanks also go to those who visit my website yet have chose to disregard this meme.
You’re all stars!
Dennis,
Excellent contribution! Thanks a lot for linking back to my site, so I could get to you know better too.
Wendy I go to Chicago occasionally and God Willing will be visiting this summer. mmm want to get together for Starbucks or something if I get to make it up this summer?
Adorable family Wendy! I swear this is my very favorite meme of all time! It’s so fun getting to know everyone this way.
By the way, care to arrange a marriage between your oldest daughter and one of my three boys? *wink* It would sure spare us a great deal of grief don’cha think?
Absolutely love seeing you and your family. You are gorgeous. The kids are amazing and your hubby is pretty cool too! What a great project!
I never realized you lived in Fox Valley. My family and I used to live in Joliet. I worked for a few years in Fox Valley. Small world!
Great to see what you look like and who your family is! I don´t usually participate in memes because I don´t want my blog to get too far off topic, but this is a really good one for connecting with your readers! Thanks. Here´s my post.
