I think I mentioned somewhere that I’ve been saving up some of my best post ideas for guest posts on ProBlogger. I’m quite proud of my contribution over there today:

I enjoyed the article over at ProBlogger. I have a question, and since you sort of opened the door with your post, I’m going to ask it! I’m curious about the networking aspect of things. Over the last few months that I’ve been reading your blog, I’ve thought of tons of questions I’d like to ask you, but I don’t want to either waste your time or tick you off. I guess this is especially true because I know that you actually get paid to coach people and give them your advice. So, when I read blogs like yours and Darren’s I think to myself, “Gosh, I wish I could ask for advice about this or that,” but I generally don’t. Do you have any advice on how a lower-level blogger like myself can go about networking with bigger bloggers without being a nuisance? (See how I did that, there? Nice, eh?)

See, now I’m questioning myself. Maybe I should have sent this in an email instead of commenting. Maybe I should just keep to myself. Any thoughts on how to best approach other, more-knowledgable bloggers?

Lornadoone – you win the PRIZE of the DAY for doing exactly what I suggested!

YOU WENT TOTALLY OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE BY POSTING THIS COMMENT!!!!!

WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO! :D

How do you think I felt when I emailed Darren THREE times to get my post into his group writing project last year – I felt like a total pesky moron! But by doing so, we’ve built a relationship, and now I consider him a friend (thanks to Elite Retreat!).

So what’s your prize? Send me an email with whatever questions you want to ask. I’ll be sure to do what I can to answer them for you.

And the answer to your above question is that you WILL feel like a nuisance when you ask for help – but if you let that stop you, you’ll never get what you want. :D

Great job, Wendy! Love to see you on ProBlogger — my Mom & Pop of blogging advice, together again!

I just love that you are more content-focused and doing so well, in a niche other than “Making Money” (although I know that’s a focus for you as well, and you do it well). It gives me hope that it can be done, to service and bring information to the Mom/non-techie market. (Writing primarily about books and life, in my case.)

Continued Success!

Ohmigosh.
That post on ProBlogger gave me belly-wobbles.

I am just beginning to use blogging as a way of reaching out, and haven’t really considered how far I could do that!

My eyes are wide-open now, in a fuller awareness (or fear?) of where I can go with my posts/articles.

Yikes and Yay.
Thanks for the article!

So, yesterday I was a Wendy Piersall/eMoms at Home reader. Today I have skyrocketed past “fan” and may officially be referred to as a “zealot!” I will be working on that email today. Thank you so much, Wendy! I am just thrilled that you were willing to reach out to me in this way.

This is where I need help:
Strong Branding – Developing your own unique voice is critical…it is most important that you develop yourself as a “brand” and build on that foundation congruently.

Which is so strange because I am someone who can “dance in the moment” – you know, get in touch with whats going on right then and there and put it into words. I wonder if I get spread too thin trying also figure out all the techy stuff too and forget to dig deeper when I’m writing my posts….hmmmm
