Ha, ha! I remember the snow days from my childhood! I did exactly like your kids :) Snow is great when you are a kid. I never understood why mom and dad were not glad to see the big snow. Now I know, but I still enjoy it. Too bad the climate is changing, and snow has become very scarce in my place.

Thanks for sharing these great resources for hours of fun activities.

Ahh... Snow... haven't seen it since I was a kid. It's summer here in Aust.. but the much needed rain has set in for a while.

*sigh* I wish I would have seen this last week. Not only did we too get a ton of snow, but we had colds all week to top it off. I sadly didn't get very much work done, but there is hope for this week. Glad I caught this.. bookmark and duly noted.

Wendy, Even though I'm home for the wrong reasons, fighting ovarian cancer, I could get into this staying at home and working on my computer.

We had, snow, sleet in rain in the windy city of Buffalo. And today because the groundhog saw it's shadow we have 6 more weeks of this stuff..ugh...

Having the right priorities is a must and, at least as far as I'm concerned, spending time with the children was always on top of my list.

Bah. Try double that. I took a look out my window this morning and noticed that the snow is as high as the bumper of my car. Not the bottom of the bumper - the top.

My next goal in life is to become an Olympic snow shoveler.

Here in south Texas we only see snow about once every ten years, but I remember when one of these rare occurrences happened back in December 2005. We actually had about three inches of snow on the ground, and our "kids" were busy most of the day going around the city taking pictures with the digital camera and storing them on their computers as memorabilia.

Thanks for the add! I've been in the kitchen most of the day. Six kids at home = lots of slicing and dicing.... and eating!

:)

The snow here (upstate NY) has turned into ice. I hope things warm up before SuperBowl Sunday.

Enjoy your weekend!

We thankfully missed the snow this time. However, your tips are still helpful. I am writing a post for tomorrow that relates to this issue. I would be grateful if you dropped by and left any insight you might have on the subject.

The kids have all moved out so I need a snow day or no work day "toolbox" designed for husbands.

Honestly they're worse than kids sometimes.
