Brandie, I wanted something as user-friendly as Constant Contact with an Autoresponder.

AWeber was high on my list too, but that all being said, I realized I am going to be stuck with 1ShoppingCart anyway. They have all of that functionality plus a built in shopping cart and affiliate program, which we will be needing soon. ;)

1ShoppingCart has a crappy interface and no templates, so it's not for beginners. But it does have a ton of features, so I'll stick with them.

Hi all,

I'm a little late to the party, so thought I would just add to the conversation.

Wendy, why iContact & not AWeber? (I was having that conversation in my head, so wondered what your reasoning was.)

Rachel, I use Outlook and put a due date on my tasks. I then changed my calendar view so that my tasks and calendar are side-by-side. It works for me! :)

Have a great night all!

Hey Tuesdays are a good day to have to do lists too!! Thanks Wendy! So sorry to hear your kids are sick. I struggled with working out of the home and being a mom - how could I be integrous at both - when I called in with a sick kid I was a schmuck for missing work - at least if I work from home. 3 weeks ago I lost my entire outlook file - files from 1998 forward are gone. My to do list quite frankly has me stopped. Fortunately my IT guy offered some solutions yesterday and so today I am rebuilding my group mailing lists. Daunting but the project for the day none the less

PS I am one of those emails that wanted to reach you, don't be embarrassed. When you get to it I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Wow what a list! First off let me tell you Wendy, I use icontact and have since January and love it. I have over 500 subscribers and it is easy to use, great customer service and the autoresponder system rocks!

Okay my to do list:
1) Book advertising for the June 1st launch of my blog...maybe it's more of a relaunch.
2) Write privacy, disclosure, advertising, about me page AND testimonial page for new and improved blog.
3) Buy my son's 4th birthday gift.
4) Run to grocery store for fruit and milk.
5) Write post about Zappos
6) Review a few sweet products and write the posts.

A huge list but some of it is in the works and just needs to be wrapped up. My motivation...I am dying for a deli sandwhich so that will get me through until lunch! I'll reward myself tonight by closing the computer and doing some free reading in bed!

It's the end of the day, so this hardly counts, but today I wanted to go to the post office and spend time with my daughter. Done. Tomorrow I have to contact two companies about carrying their product lines, complete an order with Klean Kanteen, and relist ebay auctions.

What I really want to know is: How do you keep your to-do list? I usually write it in my head, but that's not working these days. I work best from a written list, but I hate wasting the paper and dear daughter loves stealing it. Anyone have a good computer system?

Ok, two things on my to-do list, but they are big ones:
1) Give a sales presentation to a local company to use my products as a "thank-you" gift for them
2) Venture into the scary world of PPC (Pay-per-click). Looks very scary!

I know what I was going to get done today. I was going to creat a spreadsheet of my project wonderful stats, paypal, analytics etc. However my browser was stuck on stall most of the day and I gave up! It's maddening when pages don't load and I can't figure out why, oh well maybe tomorrow.

So far I crossed one item off my list (writing a case study post for my blog, that I originally intended to write last week, LOL).

On tonight's agenda - finish the rough draft of another blog post (one that I've been promising to at least 4-5 people for several weeks now!) I want to post this one on Thursday, so I'd at least want the rough draft completed tonight.

Also for this week - updating the design on a client site, and writing a proposal.

If I don't get this done - well, I'm too tired to think of a consequence... Instead, if I do accomplish everything on this list, I'll give myself no less than 10 hours of sleep on Friday night. Oh how I miss sleep, LOL.

I think it's impressive you can maintain the 9 new blogs and do much of anything else, all things considered.

Add sick kids into the mix and it's even more impressive. Pat yourself on the back a few times--it's deserved.

Morning,

As utterly bizarre as it sounds, I had a dream last night about something I'd never have thought of in real life...and I promised myself I'd spend today getting it up and ready. So far, so good!

I also have promised myself I would install the Peel plugin for future marketing. That...alas...I've haven't yet accomplished.

If I do not accomplish this, I'll offer a free blog marketing analysis to one of your readers (your choice of who) .

Hey Wendy,
I missed yesterdays Monday Motivation, so I had my own. Change the Job Board Listings and go with Simply Hired so readers would have job prospects to look at instead of a pretty page ;-)
Mission accomplished.
Today, I want to conquer the dreaded Voice Recognition software so I can talk to my computer and be able to post without having to type a single word!
If not, I'll lock myself in my office tomorrow until it's done.

If I don't, I will (aaaaagh!) take the work home with me. There's no way I'm giving up chocolate - which is my version of coffee :)

YAY! I heart you. :)

So, with that in mind (gulp), today I will:
- clean up my inbox and sort mail so I know what I need to do first

this week:
- finish up final details with a small number of clients so they are *done*
- re-do my whiteboard list so hubby can understand it
- make timeline of my own sites in dev so I can actually finish them and launch before the window passes

- administer a standardized test to my daughter and get it ready to mail back.

IF I don't do these by next Tuesday... hmmmm.... how about I provide two free hours of Wordpress consulation with one of your readers?
