Starting to Blog, but don’t know where to begin? Start here!
Below is the most comprehensive list of blog topic ideas on the planet. But the best blogs don’t focus on just one of these. They elegantly combine two or three of these topics to create a blog with an identity as unique as the writer him/herself.
If you need some help figuring out which one is right for you, read How to Choose the Perfect Blogging Topic.
Use these topics as a starting point – then put some of YOU into the idea.
Stir, pour, enjoy. Your future readers will, too. ![]()

I think thats a really great list. Good for ideas.
Now that IS comprehensive. This list is going viral.
This list seriously took me several hours to put together!!
I started with just a list, and then it grew, and then I put them into categories, and then I realized that I needed to rearrange everything, and then some categories required more research, and then before I knew it my Sunday afternoon was long gone.
I’m printing this one out! Thanks, Wendy.
I can only imagine the amount of work that took to create!
I think my blog falls into the family catagory, even tho I didn’t mean it to. LOL
Great work Wendy. Undoubtedly, your hard work is paying off!
Thanks for investing so much of yourself into your blog category (that no one can fill any beter): eMom!
That is one huge list Wendy!
Great list Wendy. I’ll be sending folks your way for their own blog topic pondering needs
That is pretty amazing, just skimming the list gave me ideas… and I can hardly cope with one blog at the moment!
Now there’s a post that people will be using for a long time to come!
I just started a blog. I know what topics I want to cover them but am not sure how to connect with others to generate discussion. I added a comment about you to my blog so in theory, i should be able to put a trackback here to let you know that.
Not sure how that is done. Nor if that is the best way to “get in the game.” Any help?
Great work, Wendy.
I often think of starting a new niche blog. Sure I have my own ideas but some inspiration always helps.
I hope all’s well with you.
David, you always drop by and say the nicest things. Hugs!

Wow! Great list. Thanks for posting it.
I have a client who wanted to make a new website for a niche and this site was helpful in giving her references to multiple niches thanx wendy *blows big kiss*
This is a great list. I just found couple of more topics which I can integrate into my own site. Thanks!
I think this list is too generic. You can find this kind of list from any directory site.
Hey, my shirts are organic cotton, my screen printer has been doing it for 40 years and uses the latest inks, and screens for super quality shirt, not only that but it’s a funny design, people either love them or hate them. I think they are funny enough to promote to the globe and try to raise awareness for animal health.
The site is http://www.pupa-wear.com. I’m teaming up local and national animal shelters to raise awareness for animal health. I’m just starting out with promotions but will be getting heavy in 2009 with promoting the shirts. Right now I’m just trying to start a test run on some blogs that I’ve liked reading.
Let me know if you have any interest in helping out.
thanks,
Robert Muller,

Good article. Before I started my home business I answered 2 questions and made my decision based on the answers. The questions I asked my self were “what am I good at?” and “what do I enjoy doing”.It turned out well in the end.
