For Wendy VanHatten it was very logical for her to take two of her favorite things and combine them as her career.
Wendy VanHatten is a travel expert for creative writing and photography and she loves to travel. And she wants to be able to show you if you are passionate about writing and traveling, you can do both for your career as well.
She wrote an ebook called, Travel Writing as a Freelancer and she shares with the reader the steps to be able to write about your travels.
I enjoyed reading this because I do love to write. And although I don’t get the opportunity to travel around the world, Wendy’s ebook has some good things for any writer to know, learn, embrace and remember.
• Do you have the urge and want to succeed in your writing/business/life?
• Be observant, listen, watch, be curious and then write about it.
• For travel writers….remember to write down what you see and who you meet.
Wendy takes you through the process of how to get started in travel writing…did you know there are different styles of travel writing? I didn’t think about it, but it does make sense.
And…another thing I liked that she mentions…you don’t need to be a world traveler to be a writer about places. You can get there but Wendy says you can start with your hometown. Give the “goods” about the city you grew up in.
Then you need to check out her 10 not so easy steps to become a travel writer. I like the fact that she doesn’t sugar coat it and tells you that it does that work and action on your part to become a successful travel writer.
Ok, I will give you just a few of her 10 steps:
1) Know your grammar. If you are unsure, buy a book and correct it.
2) Know what the editors what and deliver it to them.
3) Do you research and know your facts.
Wendy provides you an outline to help the writer in you to become a travel writer.
She gives you assignments at the end of each topic to help you though the process of writing. (like a checklist for your query letter).
Whew! This ebook is loaded with great information, tips and resources for writers.

Interesting post
You are right, if we like to travel, we can write articles and earn some money.
How? we can write our travel experiences and then we can sell the articles in getafreelancer.com or in forums.digitalpoint.com.
There are so many websites and forums where you can sell articles. We can earn $2 to $5 per articles, it depends to how good the articles. Some writers got high earning per articles.
So if you think that you are good writer, why don’t you write your experiences and earn some money
