Some of you may have seen my post yesterday, mentioning that one of my new years’ resolutions is to hire a VA in 2008. Then literally just a few hours later, a very special email popped into my inbox.

Elance just announced that they are running a contest to kick off 2008 in style. Enter to win a Virtual Assistant for a year from them by sending in a video, photo or email answering the following question:

How would you use a virtual assistant to grow your business or improve your personal life?

Get a VA for a Year!!I so desperately need a VA isn’t not even funny anymore. I’d start with having my VA help answer the 1000+ emails we get every week. And then I’d have him or her help administrate our contests, because with rocking prizes like a Nikon CoolPix camera, they are getting to be quite a burden on poor Erika to manage on her own. And then I would have this VA help with my business planning and expansion projects, because eMoms at Home is growing faster than I can handle it on my own anymore. But in the end, if I won this contest, it could help a ton more people than just me, because we could serve the home business community so much more effectively with the right support staff.

Now quite honestly, I don’t want you to enter this contest, because I. Want. To. Win. Badly. Actually, desperately.

But you know I’m also the un-selfish type, so if I don’t win I want one of you to win. Badly. ;)

Personally, I am getting more and more emails on a daily basis as well and I’d just hate to leave them unanswered. At this point, I am able to handle things but I will definitely look into hiring someone for the job once that will no longer be the case since, again, I really don’t want to leave emails unanswered.

I’ll tell you what. If you don’t win and I don’t win…I’ll become your VA!

*sigh* I so need a VA. Harry would be ever thankful. Already sent in my pitch, too!

OH my gosh. What a great idea! I could really use a VA too! I’m going to enter and hope one of us wins.

I just found your website. I noticed that you are looking to hire a Virtual Assistant, that is if you do not win the contest. Are you really looking? I have been looking for a legitimate work from home job for years. I would love to speak to you further about becoming your VA. Please contact me if you are serious. Thanks!

Isn’t it a fun contest? Good luck and I hope you win!

I am a VA but I’m still going to enter this one, probably by video. $5000 worth of free work is a lot and would be a huge boost to any business.

Wendy sounds like you need to win this:)
I think a VA is something all of us home based business entrepreneurs need to be efficient.

As i am currently vacuuming for properity- declutering, I would love a VA to manage my transition of data from my PC to my Mac .

Good luck to all who enter.

Well, since only one person will win the contest and it seems like everyone is in need of a VA, I would like to apply!
