While I don’t technically run a business, I’ll still throw in my thought.

I play things very safe with my blogs. I donot have anythign else to fall back on apart form the money I earn from my blogs so that is what makes me stick to doing safe things like sponsored review posts.

I’ve wanted to get into affiliate marketing but the thought of failing and ending up with nothing scares me out of it.

I run my own plastering bussiness but unfortunately I have a bad wrist so I am out of work for a few weeks.

Hence the fact that I am spending way too much time browsing the web.

What keeps me going? It’s my determination and focus on my goals. Some people keep on inspiring me to go on though the business and competitions are getting tougher.

I have faith in God. If my business goes like that, I will still find a way and do not give up. As long as I have a capital for my business, I will spend all my money for a new plan of my business.

When bills are due and sales are slow is absolutely NOT the time to get discouraged. That is the time to be on your grind more than ever coming up with ways to make sales grow. When you lose faith in the business and your ability to run the business, the business dies.

Hi Guys,

When things get stagnant and sometimes uncertain we find that talking to all of our customers and asking how their own sites are serving them, nearly always generates some new business with upgrades and addons. Look after your current customers, they may still be worth a few more sales.

very interesting post I wonder when you’ll have another post with this content? Thanks

I analyze why what i’m doing doesn’t bring the results I expect. And I never hesitate to change my strategy!

Great question… what do you do?? You what I like to call “bootstrapping” Find a way to make it work or move on to something better. Just have a positive attitude and go for it. Know when to back down, learn from your mistakes and move on.

Hi, I love this post. I have read the full article in the author’s site and like what I’ve posted there, what keeps me going is the belief that happiness and success is a decision. One just have to believe.

Marketing is always the key to expand that business, if its online, then seo is your key

Good question, I guess we could all benefit from a soid answer to that one

I’ve been self employed for a couple of years now and can relate. Even though it’s hard work I keep my eyes on the ball. I have a lifestyle that I love and wouldn’t want to give it up for anything. That was a great article.

Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I wanted to say that it’s nice to know that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding the same info elsewhere. This was the first place that told me the answer. Thanks.

Great questions. I think one of the ways I try to re-energize myself is to do something that will give me a quick “feel good” like reaching out to a client I have a good relationship with, posting something helpful on Facebook, or giving away one of my products to someone on my list. It makes me feel good to connect with that positivity and generosity within myself and it also feels good to enjoy the positivity others share in response to my actions. That good feeling can be enough sometimes to get me over the hump of discouragement and back on track.

The main reason I keep going with my business is determination and my family. I want my kids to have not only a stay at home mom but a stay at home dad too.

I agree with the author that what keeps me going is wanting to live the lifestyle I want. Keeping my eye on the prize. All I have to do is think what I’d be doing if I had a real “job”.

He also talks about having freedom to vacation with the family but not with a pie in the sky vision. He states that he’ll still be working 3 days a week. Not 2 hours a day either. Very honest and so true.
